Please answer the question below...

If you could live anywhere in the world providing there is an internet connection...where would you live and why? Please include pros and cons. Also, keep in mind you will probably be there for a little while i.e. familial obligations still apply immediate and extended.

  1. I think I have the perfect place (for you and me... so let's grab our husbands and move there together)!

    My answer: Milton, MA
Why? Well, I love the history and culture of the east coast but not the hustle and bustle so this is the best of both worlds. If I remember right, you loved Boston. Well, this is close to Boston but far enough away that you feel like you're living in a comfortable, suburban/country setting. There are lots of tree-lined streets and historical sites. The school system is excellent in Milton (with French immersion programs for your children!).
The downsides are the cost in flights from east coast to west coast and I'm pretty sure they have high taxes over there. Let's be honest, I wouldn't move there unless Mike had a steady, well paying job.

Now, let me see your question with another question: Why this question?? I love it. It really got me thinking.

  2. I would live in Papua New Guinea. Why? Because that is where my husband is from. Culture is very important in our family and I think I would be honored to live amongst the people of my husband. Also, it would be a great experience for my child and future children. The pros would be that I wouldn't have to work out of my home anymore and I wouldn't have to drive (because I hate driving), plus I would get to spend some quality time in another country and getting to know my extended family. Also, my husband would be able to do some good and get a good job at the same time in his own country. The cons would be that I would be so far away from my home. There is also lots of danger and people don't really understand Americans and their outspoken way of life. Also, the education system isn't really the best.
